9700 not working right on new board!

edited July 2003 in Hardware
I just swapped mobo's out on my nforce2 rig; went from an A7N8X to an NF7-S 2.0 and when I tried to boot to bios, the picture is screwed. All the components are the same and the vid card was working fine in the Asus board.

Think I got a mobo with a screwed AGP slot? I stuck an old pci s3 card in it and it worked fine but the Gigabyte Maya 9700 Pro is all screwed up. Attached is a pic of how the screen comes up.

    UPDATE:

OK, I shut my daughter's rig down and borrowed the GF3 Ti200 out of it and installed it into the NF7-S board and it ran just fine. I then put the 9700 in her rig and the same crap came up as on the NF7-S.:banghead: Looks like I might have a crapola 9700, thank God for warrantees. I'm so proud of myself for not doing any mods to the vid card now; didn't even remove the hsf and use AS3 on it.

How do you RMA the vid card; to Gigabyte(card manufacturer) or Newegg(place I bought it from).

Since I'm going offshore in the morning I guess I'll just put that old pci S3 card in it so that it can fold. When I come back in I guess that I will rob the GF3 Ti500 out of my dually so that I'll have a half decent vid card to play with.

go to newegg, and click on RMA request, and then from there it's pretty simple, good luck, Newegg have really good RMA service, i recently had to deal with them because my ti4600 died.
