hi guys, please help. i have win98 w/ CWS,searchassistant problem. here is my HJT log

hi everyone, i'm new here and just registered to this forum because this is really bothering me [like everyone else] and i found this forum off google. i hope you guys can help me and thanks in advance for your time...

well, i have updated and ran spybot and adaware. what i notice is coolwebsearch [keeps coming back when i run adaware], "about:blank" homepage keeps coming back which brings up the page "search for..." and a popup telling me i am infected with spyware, and "search assistant uninstall" is in my add/remove programs...

i am running windows 98 and i did read the sticky vanagon posted, but i am really no good at all this and it seems really complicated to me so before i try to follow that thread i would really appreciate it if you guys took a look at my hijack log:

..am i ok now or is there something more??

[forgot to ask.. would there be any harm in going into regedit and manually removing "search assistant uninstall" from my add/remove programs list?]

    Looks clean :)

If you are comfortable with the registry and know what you're doing, there's no harm in getting rid of "search assistant uninstall".

Make sure you check out our folding team, we would love to have you join us :woowoo:
