Here's a new one.
The message "YOU HAVE FILES WAITING TO BE WRITTEN TO THE CD" appears every time windows boots AND...get this...every time the trash is emptied.
Why? Seems the OS has parked a system volume information hidden folder and recycle bin hidden folder on the DVD R drive. Which I can understand if there wasn't NERO installed.
First time that's happened. Physically removing the DVD R hardware and software and reinstalling doesn't make it go away either. Anyone care to venture a guess?
XP w/SP2
Hardware has all be tested through various other installs and configurations.
NM found it. Bug in SP2 left one drive ticked on for XP to access it for its own burning software. Solved by right clicking on drive and going into properties and unticking.
Never happened before in 100 installs...
