Unknown Problem - HJT Log - Paulis
Hey guys. Not sure why you closed my last thread, as I was just going to update once my friend had updated windows.
Well, we tried updating windows, but we were not able to because every time we try, we get redirected. Do you think you could help me get everything off of his computer so he could get an update? I updated spybot and ad-aware, and ran CWShredder.
The problem [although I don't know what specific adware it is] is that when browsing the internet, you are redirected after a very short time, to a page with a bunch of random links and popups.
Here is an updated HJT log.

Thanks alot. Again, I know he needs to update windows, but we can't due to the browser being hijacked in the process.

Reboot, post a new log
EDIT: I was able to begin updating windows, so when that's done I'll browse the web a little bit. I clicked on Internet Explorer before i began updating, though, and it brought me right to the search page with popups. We'll see.

Some one probably misread that as saying that he took it to a tech to get the problem fixed, so you would not need our help, and closed the thread for housekeeping purposes.
Where are you at with this, still having problems or working better?
Dexter...
Sorry I havn't been quick to reply, we've been a little busy with college nonsense.
