Omega Search, again....

Hi all!

My name is Greg and I fixed my omegasearch problem about 3 days ago, and after 3 days of no more omegasearch (hurray!) it is back again.

Symptoms:
Icons appear on desktop
Favorites appear in IE
Homepage hijacked
Search toolbar present

Steps I've taken:
Comp is clean according to adaware and search&destroy
OmegakillerSM i run everytime to no avail, it keeps coming back
I have msn messenger Plus! but i clicked no to advertisement install
I have gotten rid of all i can see in hijackthis

The log looks clean of known patterns. Try uninstalling Messenger Plus 3 and see if the problem stays away. Ususally users have been able to keep using Messenger Plus 3 after uninstalling the adware crap portion. Perhaps they have changed things a little...

Uninstall Messenger Plus, see what happens, and post a new log for review.

Hi Greg, please download this file - file and unzip it to a folder, run the file called proc.bat - might just be called proc on your system, regardless, its the one with a cog in the icon... it should produce a file called process.zip ... please email me that file and we'll look into a fix (email: mondi at short-media.com)
