I have a Home Search Assistent..

Help!

I'm new here, this is even my first post and I need help in Home Search Assisten trojan. I don't know how to remove it, and after reading that "Removal Guide" I was confused because I don't even know what HJT is! So, if you could help me with few basic hints and with HSA, I would be very, very grateful.

HJT is short for Hijack This.exe, a program which shows us certain settings on your computer, which are commonly used by hijackers to take over your browser.

Go back to the Home Search Assistant Removal Guide and go to Step 1. There is a link there which will take you to a page that tells you how to download, install and run HJT:

    http://www.short-media.com/forum/showpost.php?p=172584&postcount=2

Start there, follow the instructions on that post to get HJT, scan your system, and make a log. Then once yu have made the log, save it to your hard drive, and copy and paste the entire text of the log into this message thread.

Once you have done that, we will help you identify your problem files, and help you through the rest of the guide. :)

If you do not feel that your computer experience is strong enough to do this on your own, is there someone who can help you work through the guide?

OK, in past few days, I've read and re-read your Removal Guide and followed it carefully to remove HSA. I'm think I've succeded because I don't get Home Search page in IE anymore (thank Godness, and you for the Guide), and I don't have Search Extender, Shopping Wizard and HSA in Add/Remove Programs anymore, I can set IE Settings normally, but I'll wait few days anyway to see if HSA is gone forever.

The guide was great, it helped me very much. That was ALL I need in HSA removal, and I recomend it anybody who has problems with HSA. Dexter, you're great!
