Hi, I ran Adaware and Spybot as directed on my system, and purged what had to be purged.
My system, a Win 2000 Pro machine, has more than 700mb ram works real slow (Pentium 4 , 1.8Gb, shouldn't be slow!)
I then ran HJT and would like to know from you people if there is anything here which may be the cause for being so slow...

I'm not sure what that's supposed to be. Fix that. However most of your slowness is probably caused by this entry:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

It's a known resource hog. Fixing that might help improve speeds a bit.

Also, have hijackThis fix these entries:
