MoBO, RAM question, please help again

edited September 2004 in Hardware
Hello all again

I have yet another question, lol. The memory that I bought is a corsair xms extreme 184 pin 1gb (512x2) DDR PC3700. Now, I have been looking everywhere and I have been only able to find one motherboard that can support PC3700. Hard to find. Is it possible that there are motherboards which can support pc3200 to support the pc3700? Also, another topic similar to this. The motherboard I found said it supports 4 x unbuffered 2.5V RAM. The corsair is 2.75v. Does this make a difference? Thank you for you answers.

the 3700 ram is made for over clocking, the higher u can bump the voltages on the ram the faster it will go, so u should be able to safly bump the ram voltages to 2.75 from 2.5

Get whatever motherboard you want that has DDR. It shouldnt really matter. Suggestion for Intel and AMD both, stick to Asus, Abit, or MSI and to minimize problems.

How about the memory voltage? I can't find any mobo's that will specify that it supports 2.75 v of RAM.

    wrong section for this thread
most motherboards can run 2.75v through your ram, you just have to change it in the bios
