The buzz!

This is odd. About every hour or so I get a buzz from my speakers. It sounds like an old fashioned electric buzzer. It comes on for half a second or so and that's it, approx an hour later it does it again. Its been doing this for about three days.
Any ideas?

It's not that. That needs to buzz every half hour to keep me awake.

    How loud is it?
does it happen when you are using the sound system, or only when all is quiet?
    What is your sound system?

Are you using Electron Microscope to monitor your folding?

Mine sounds like that when the network is getting a bit overloaded and EM thinks it's lost a connection.

    Cheers

The volume depends how loud the speakers are turned up. I am using EM and the network is down at the moment cause I'm installing XP on the other PC. The sound is the onboard NF7s.

Crypto, go to the top of the class. It's EM. I noticed this afternoon while reinstalling XP on the kids PC. It only buzz's when the kids PC is off or rebooting. I know there's an option for a warning sound somewhere, I'll find it and turn it off.
    Cheers mate.
