Task Manager Help

hi, I was just looking through the process tab of task manager and doing a yahoo search at 'items' or 'entries' in task manager. I came across 'SMSS.EXE' and did a yahoo search which took me to a webpage with a little info on smss.exe. While I was reading it mentioned a problem about 'shutdown hangs' which I am currently having.
