Coolbits questions

edited September 2004 in Hardware
I have at PNY 6800 GT and coolbits installed. When I check manual overclock and then click on detect optimal frequency my comp instantly crashes...any idea why? Has anyone tried the auto overclock function? I am not that experienced with OCing and would rather try this...how fast do they usually go?? Also, my GT is idle at around 64 C, when it is under load it only goes up a few degrees (70 C is the most ive seen it) I have 3 cooling fans blowing air out of my system. Any ideas?

last time i used coolbit was when i had my ti4600, and back then there is no auto overclock.

i'm assuming when u turn on auto overclock, that maybe the first clock the autooverclock trsy to set is already too much for your card to handle, thus your computer crashes.

i have used coolbit to manually overclock my ti4600, no problems unless i hit a wall when overclocking, and then computer may crash.

What kind of PSU do you have in your system, what is its' Wattage rating and what other hardware devices do you have in your PC?
