Are There Revision Numbers for Athlon XP?

Before I purchase an AMD Athlon XP 3200+ Barton I was wondering if there are different revision numbers floating around out there or a place that lists them.

BTW
$110 +free shipping sounds a little too good or am I being paranoid.
What's a refurbish go for?

Thanks for any info!

Core steppings? I just had a primer on that with the a64 (co vs. cg)
What are the variants on the Barton 3200+

    Thanks

I haven't kept up with the info. :-/ The OC'ers around here probably know.

Instead of buying a desktop AXP3200+, why not get a mobile XP2500 or 2600 and save a bundle of money. You should be able to get one of them for under $100 and they are like cream of the crop processors. Couple one of those with a good nf2 mobo like the NF7-S, A7N8X-dlx or Shuttle AN35N Ultra and you will have a very fine performing rig that you can run at any speed you would want to try to run a 3200+ at. All steppings of the mobile 2500 or 2600 will perform at least as good as a desktop 3200+.

Unlike the A64's which have C0, CG & D0 revision numbers (which denote the memory-controller revision), the AXP's usually had different stepping codes like these:

    Barton:
    AQZFA
    AQYHA
    AQYFA
    AQZEA
    AQZCA
    AQXDA
    AQXEA
    AQXCA
    AQUEA
    AQUCA
    AQUBA

    Mobile XP's
    IQYHA
    IQYFA
    AQYHA
    IQXFA
    IQZFA
    AQYFA
    AQXFA
    AQXEA

Some overclock better than others, but other than that I really can't tell you that much from the steppings.

Here's the best list I could find on part ID's & such:

Now, if this is for a home system, muddocktor's right: Go out and get a 2500+ or 2600+ mobile AMD Athlon XP and overclock the sucker. With air, I've seen results in excess of 2.3 GHz on NF2-based systems. These little babies OC like mad.
