I'm currently using NAV 2002 (as part of System Works 2002). What new functionality have they put in 2003 and the 2004 Beta? What about performance issues, is it more of a resource hog?
They actually pay me to use System works 2002, since I paid $29.99 and got a $30 rebate, but I can't help but wonder if I'm missing anything.

NAV 2003, doesn't have that much over 2002, apart from some added Messenger functionalilty and a slightly more efficient interface. I haven't had chance to really look into 2004 much yet, and I probably won't get round to trying the BETA versions simply because the final version should be available in about 6 weeks or so. An upgrade from 2002 to 2003, really wouldn't be something you should worry to much about doing, but even if it's just a few tweaks and tunes that 2004 has over 2003 (much 2003 has over 2002), the difference between 2004 and 2002 should now be wide enough to make the upgrade worth while.
I share Sputnik's caution, as NAV is a powerfull piece of software and can easily turn your system into jello. However, I imagine the BETA version available now, isn't too far off the finished product, so giving it a try, as it is several revisions up over that of the original BETA release, should be okay.
Cheers;)
