Unreal problem due, I think to AOL Instant Messenger installation
OK, since my babysitter installed AOL Instant Messanger on my computer Tuesday, I have been in a perpetual state of frustration. I can't access almost anything on this computer because Windows Explorer will not open, and keeps giving me the "Windows Explorer has encounter a problem and needs to close" error message.
Now, I can't open any CDs inserted into my hard drive, meaning I can't use the system recovery disks; I can't access my C drive using My Computer, etc. Basically, I'm at my wits end.
I am running McAfee Internet Security Suite 6, which blows. I've run Ad-Aware but can't download and run SpyBot. I actually have SpyBot on my computer but can't access it.
I obviously removed AOL Instant Messenger via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
All my Windows updates are current as well.
I did manage to run an online version of HJT and here is my log file...
Nothing really jumps out to me so maybe it's NOT a spy/adware problems? Who knows...

Before doing the following, please Set your computer to show hidden files and folders, Disable System Restore, and Reboot in Safe Mode.
Once you have done that, Run HijackThis and have it fix the following:

Then find and locate the files listed above and Quarentine Them.
Once you have done that, reboot, scan with HiijackThis again, and post a new log.
