problem with new computer and xp 64
so this is the deal, i just downloaded the pre-release of xp 64 from the microsoft site, i got the iso file burned the image into a disk, and try to install it into my computer that i have just builded it creates a partition it formats the
drive but when it tries to do the setup every so often a couple of files say that
"the file setup placed on your hard drive is not a valid Windows system image." so i would think its the cd except that it always happens with different files, so is this normal is this supposed to happen?
my processor is a 3200+ amd 64
sorry if this isnt important enought to be here but i really dont know what to do? :bawling:

Try making another CD with a good CD brand (Imation/Memorex) and a good writing program (Nero).
I have a K8N NEO that I can't use until I change my memory (money being saved for something else at the moment, so it will have to wait)....
Reason? I get corruption in different spots of an install
It turns out the new 16X DVD RW I fitted was spinning so fast it shook and the laser got the jitters. To fix it I slid the DVD writer forward out of the case and held it steady between my hands (with the cables still attached ) and it wrote to the hard drive without error. Try it - it's cheaper and easier than most other solutions.
