And there was much rejoicing... Yaaayyyy.

Seriously though, this is pretty kickass. Now if I could only get rich I'd be on that thing in a heartbeat.

I'm sure that in our lifetime, space travel will become affordable. This is a truly exciting time to live....

Think of this: For generations upon generations, kids have looked at the moon and the stars and said "I want to go there". I did it when I was a kid, you did it, we all did.

My kids see the moon and say "I want to go there"... And I can honestly tell them "I think when you are a grownup, you'll be able to".

    Stunning.

um, this flight doesn't count as one of the two flights for the X-prize. to win that the craft has to make 2 flights to the set height within a week, carrying 3 people (or equivalent weight). I think the first 'X-prize' flight is scheduled for the 4th of October. Still, it's a fantastic achievement and one step closer to this: http://www.virgingalactic.com

It always is. I remember the coming of colour TV, the first man in space, the first jet plane. It's always been exciting. The future is an awesome place.

    No problem.

I'm really excited about this. This means a lot for the space program. It would be awesome to one day be able to hop on a spacecraft and take a ride.
