Ok...so this is pretty simple and maybe I am missing something here, however I can't for the life of me figure this one out. This all started with my old Mobo screwing up and writing some bad sectors on the HD during a crash. ok new MoBo and let's get this show on the road, time to install it and get a repair going of the HD. Well, with little event I installed the MoBo and got it going, now the trick is this, how in the hell can I get this stupid thing to boot up on my SCSI Cd-rom drive from my Adaptec controller? I see the Adaptec controller boot up and recognize the drive and it sees a bootable disk in the CD-rom, then it goes straight to the HD which has an error on boot. :banghead:

So, I go into the BIOS and check the boot config and I have Floppy or HD nothing else....grrrr. Is there any way to get this MB to recognize and boot from the CD in the SCSI drive that anyone knows of?

Thanks a bunch!

This is a known issue with both the SE & non SE versions; I had this problem with my lsi card and the older K8V deluxe and posted elsewhere about it and there was no cure. The only way I got it to work was to use an older bios (1.005). I don't know which bios you should use for the SE version as mine was a K8V deluxe not SE but I'd try an older bios first if I was you.

    Hope that helps.
