I don't know whos turned it on but it's very irritating. That bloody mouse click, everytime I click back or forward there is a click from the speakers and it's driving me daft. I've looked in sounds, I've looked in mouse settings, I've looked in my computer settings, I've looked in the optimisticaly titled help and support but I can't find it. Save my sanity guys, how do I turn it off?

Lol I've actually come to like that sound I have no idea where to turn it off .. did you look under Sound Settings in the control panel? I'm pretty sure it's on be default.

The first thing I do on a fresh install is turn off system sounds thru control panel>sounds, speech, and audio devices>sounds and audio devices>
press sounds tab then select no sounds under sound scheme then apply.

Wait ...that will get rid off all of your system sounds!
Look around there you can turn off just the mouse click sound.

I have my own sounds set up. Youngest Daughter says "hiya" on opening a prog, Middle son says "bye" on closing one. Youngest son says"Thank you for playing with me and see you soon" on exiting windows. All the family are in here but I didn't always have this click. Help me, help me.

edit, I've looked all round the sound settings and there's nothing for the mouse.

Bothered, it is called the Start Navigation sound listed in the Sounds and Audio control panel under the Sounds tab.

I hate that sound.
