hi its me again, got another virus

hello how are you guy doing, im back with another problem, i have this virus
C:\WINDOWS\system32\winupdater.exe is infected with W32.Spybot.Worm

i looked for it, and couldnt find it

    Log looks totally clean. Are you sure it's not showing something in a quarantine or something?

    nothing in quarintine, i just cant find the files in my computer, but they all in the system restore tho

    Oh, well that's easy to fix. All you have to do is dump your restore points.

    Right click on "my computer" --> click properties. Click "System Restore" and then check "Turn system restore off on all drives"

    Apply, close, reboot.

    Then, go back and turn it on. Restore points dumped :)

    finaly got a chance to do this, and i ran symantec security thing after doin the system restore and i got this again

    Use antivirus to quarantine and delete the file.

    If that doesn't work, search www.symantec.com for a removal tool.

    If that doesn't work, open Explorer, navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32 (click "show files), and delete winupdater.exe

    I'm not sure of the chance physically deleting will work, but I can't think of a better way if antivirus won't kill it and there's no removal tool.

    my avg dosent regester it, and symantec dosent have a removal tool, and i deleted it but the security response still picks it up...

    When you say security response picks it up, where exactly is it saying the file is located?

    turn of your virus scanner and delete it from the folder.
    You don't need the file

    prime it picks it up here "C:\WINDOWS\system32\winupdater.exe"
    jazzy i tried that awhile ago, i think i manually deleted it a while back so this is why im stumpped on whats going on

    Do you know how to boot into the recovery console from your windows XP cd? Because you should try that- boot into recovery console, type CD SYSTEM32, type ATTRIB -H -S WINUPDATER.EXE and then type DEL WINUPDATER.EXE.
