What do you guys think of Infinity speakers? I have Harmon / Kardon surround speakers and I needed a new center channel ( center was a cheapy Pioneer). Infinifty is supposably the higher division of Harmon / Kardon, so i read alot of reviews and they had a high score, Soooo I got this

I am absolutely in love with the infinity's in my car. The home audio versions are very nice, look extremely clean, and are kind of middle of the barrel. you're not getting ****ty sony's or kenwood's, but you're also not getting Definitive's.

they ought to be around the level of klipsch or monsoons ... so good

JBL, H/K, Infinity, Altec Lansing...all owned by Harmon Group. Personally I think you should've stuck with the same brand (center model for the fronts) speaker as your front speakers as they're "Timber Matched" to make the front soundstage mesh seamlessly from left to center to right. I've heard systems that had mis-matched fronts like yours that ended up making the whole surround experience a pain, it sounded like either there was a blanket in front of the speakers or the EQ was messed up but either the front speakers would sound "dark" (quieter, subdued) and the center would sound brash or vice versa making making vocals that go from left to center (or right to center) sound like they were going from normal speaking voice to shouting in a nasal voice. Very annoying. On the flipside I've heard conversations that when they wandered off from center would suddenly sound un-naturally concise like they were suddenly being focused upon and this was all caused by the tonal differencecs of "brand; X" mixed with "brand; Y" speakers.
This applies even in cases like yours because Infinity uses different drivers (speakers) and crossovers than H/K does meaning their speakers have a different sound and SPL @ 1 Watt-1M.
I don't mean to crap on your choices man, I'm just pointing out flaws that happen when you "mix-n-match" speakers like that.

i agree with madmat...stick with one brand. i started out witha kenwood surround sound system but the center channel all of a sudden died so i went and bought an onkyo center channel which was good but it just sounded off. that is definitely a good center channel though. i bought an infinity surround system for my parents and they love it...so do i:)
