Realtek AC97 Audio probs

I recently had a mobo die on me so i switched back to my old asus for time being. It has Realtek AC97 onboard audio. I had the drivers from previous wipes on a cdr when i ran them it all went good and the volume thing in toolbar popped up but i get NO sound at all....not with speakers or headphones. The com picks up the audio drivers and stuff jus no sound at all and it says it working without error.

    Maybe try going to Asus's site and downloading the latest sound drivers for your board, then uninstalling the old drivers and install the newest drivers and see if that clears up any problems.
