2600-M Steppings?
comfortable
Sugarland, TX
Hi!
I finally got my nf7-s (with tictac's D22 Turbo bios) up and running nicely, and Windows XP SP2 installed cleanly.
I was recently given a pretty enticing offer for my 2500+ XP, and I will only need to fork out an extra $15 for a 2600-M.
I was wondering if there were any sites/messageboards that discussed the various steppings of the 2600 (if there were any,) and average overclocks on air/water.

MOst all the 2600's will do 2.5Ghz but I have one that needs much voltage to get there. So....no they are not all guaranteed to get to 2.5 Ghz.
Best thing would be Newegg as I hear they're shipping good OCing chips.
If you can, purchase a few of them (3-4) and pick the best and sell the rest on eBay.
The above worked for me and I ended up getting 4; I kept 2 that run at 2.7 Ghz and sold the other 2 on eBay.
