IE crashes and Spyware Icon

:) Hi all, I will greatly appreciate it if I get this problem fixed, it is really annoying!

The problem i have is that sometimes when i run Internet explorer, it crashes. It all happened when i went on a site and clicked a link, then my IE just froze. Then after a few minutes, when it came back to normal there was an icon that had an exclamation mark with a circle around it. It says "Your PC is infected with spyware - Click here to fix your PC. " Now everytime i start IE, there is an icon on the toolbar. I ran Ad Aware SE Personal and Spybot, but the icon is still there. :banghead:

Here is my HJT log:

    Welcome to Short Media forums.

Before doing the following, please Set your computer to show hidden files and folders, Disable System Restore, and Reboot in Safe Mode.

Once you have done that, Run HijackThis and have it fix the following:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = C:\WINNT\system32\blank.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = C:\WINNT\system32\blank.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = C:\WINNT\system32\searchbar.html
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.google.ca/
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchURL = C:\WINNT\system32\searchbar.html
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.google.ca/
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = C:\WINNT\system32\searchbar.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = C:\WINNT\system32\searchbar.html
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINNT\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ws3i33T] mqrcns32.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Kazaa Download Accelerator Updater (required)] regsvr32 /s C:\WINNT\System32\KDP3f98.dll
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Kazaa Download Accelerator Updater] regsvr32 /s C:\WINNT\System32\kdpupd.dll
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)

Then find and locate the files listed above and Quarentine Them.

Once you have done that, reboot, scan with HiijackThis again, and post a new log.

    Hello again :)

I fixed the problems in HJT. I couln'dt quarantine all the files becuase either there was the same file more than once on HJT log, they were'nt in the folder, or the location of file wasn't given in the HJT log. So only 3 files were quarantined. Also they became unusable when i changed the last three letters of the file name. One more thing, I saw the exclamation icon in the system32 folder. It was named 'sd.exe' .

Anyway, here's my new hijack this log:

Fix those entries then reboot and post a new log.

THe "Backup" folder is good. It is created when you delete an entry from your log. If that folder isn't there, and you delete something wrong you won't be able to restore it. With that folder you can restore any entries you delete.
