shrink folder size

I have a folder i need to shrink down a lot. its 183GB I need to get it down to 90GB is there anything that will let me do that?

    depends on what's in it ...are the files compressed?
    try zipping it.

    WinACE might work, but you'll have to set it to maximum compression and set the dictionary size to 4K

    But as csimon said, it all depends on the contents. If they are jpg files or mp3s or avi's or something that's already been compressed, you're not going to be able to squeeze them down any more (well, perhaps just a little, but definitely not 50%)

    they are mostly dvds that i have accumilated

    You're not going to be able to shrink that. They're already very tightly compressed.
