i got a dell 19" monitor (d1226h) from a garage sale for $25. my question is, what goes in the usb expansion bay in the back, and what does it do?

Some Dell monitors come with USB ports built right into the monitor housing. Think of it like a hub on the monitor. As Dell says "no more reaching around the back of your system."

heh heh. now we gotta reach around the back of the monitor. almost the same distance. id rather have a hub on a cable infront of me. anyhow, does anyone know of any issues i should look out for with this thing? i mean like tendancy to go bad... things along those lines.

I have one on my Compaq P1100. It's only USB 1.1, but otherwise it's been rock solid.
