Is build 1218 of xp 64 bit the newest one out?

thats version i am currently running. gaming works ok just go get the 64-bit drivers from ATI or Nvidia.

For me, it allows me to run it on my eMachines M6805 Laptop using wireless. The 1218 version did not have the broadcom wireless drivers, whereas this version loads them automatically. I am sure there have been other improvements.

Thxan i'll hafta get that new version and try it out. It stnks you cant just install a patch.

Well i new that the final release was coming in the spring, my question was pertaining to the beta releases.

1218 came out about 5 months ago, and 1289 was just released publically in the last week or 2. I would imagine that they have had several builds in between those, but only released those internally. If I had to make a guess, I would think they come out with a new one every month or so...

Hmmmm.......Just saw this today, new release RC2 build 1433. Moving right along, but when I went to download, it still showed version 1289???

Heard about RC 2 as well - don't bother with it just yet - apparently too many people are trying to download so it's incredibly slow.
