not able to access msconfig or task manager ?

I am not able to run msconfig or open up the task manager - is there anything that I can do to fix this? I know this isn't a dire emergency, but it's affecting my startup...

    er in win2k there IS no msconfig... but i think we need more details about your rig before we can really help.. for example, we need what OS you're running , and everything else you can tell us about your computer ^^

    If it's one of those things where you run it and it pops up for a second then closes right away, you can search for the msconfig.exe file, copy it to the desktop and rename the extension from a .exe to a .com
    The file will still run properly, and if it's a virus causing it to close right away, this should get you around it.
