Quick Internet Question

just out of curiosity....

lets say i have a computer without a firewall hooked up to the internet. What can i expect in terms of virus/spyware problems?

like...if i leave it on for a couple hours/days/whatever (without getting online, just leaving it idle), am i gonna be infected?

    If your computer is idle you shouldn't get any spyware. I don't have a firewall on my computer, and have only gotten spyware by drive by downloads (which I blocked from my computer later on).
