Please help me remove Home Search Assistant etc.!!

Hi,

after reading the guide DEXTER posted about how to remove this annoying software installation i had a go myself but unfortunately came unstuck at the point when i was asked to reboot my machine in Safe Mode. unfortunately as the computer i'm on is at work and part of a network i couldn't access the system in Safe Mode without the administrators account details.

i have installed 'Hi-Jack this' and run it and the log is attached, i've also installed and run 'aboout:Buster' as requested. so i wondered if anybody out there with more computer experience than me could help me out? preferably not by having to get the Administrators access information, is there any way i can do it from my machine right now?

thanks a bunch

chrishenry

You don't need to boot into safe mode to kill this thing. Try the alternative removal method (post 4 in the HSA guide).

Thanks a lot, haven't yet run the steps mentioned in the post you said but have installed Firefox instead of IE and it seems to be working much better, will do the steps described though as soon as i get some time!
