After spyware removal, Windows explorer and IE are broken...

Tried to fix my problems with Spybot, then IE and windows explorer are inoperable.... any advice? Please?

    There is no spyware in that log, I'm sorry to say. I'm going to move this thread into the "Windows" forum, since this problem seems windows related at this point. So you are saying that both IE and regular Windows Explorer fail to open? Do you get an error, or do they just do nothing when you execute them?

    you are right.

    This process:

    C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWEBSEARCH\BAR\1.BIN\MWSOEMON.EXE

    is indeed spyware. I didn't see it in the actual log, and I must have glanced too quickly at the running processes. Prof wins the prize today :D

    So, Terri... Please hit ctrl-alt-del, go to task manager, go the processes tab, and END that process. After you do that, go to C:\PROGRAM FILES\ and delete the MYWEBSEARCH folder. Reboot and then tell us if IE and Windows explorer are still broken :)
