Linksys Router

Okay here is the deal....I have A wireless G Linksys Router and when i go to the page 192.168.1.1 it asks for the password wich is admin for default......it doesnt accept it ..HELP

    Well, if you don't have any settings in there that you must absolutely keep, just hold the test button in back for like 10 seconds. It'll restore to factory defaults.

    If there are settings that you need, it's hard to help with that. Make sure caps lock isn't on. Also, do you know of anyone who may have changed it?

    Its usually username: admin and password: 1234/password for most routers. Its one of those 2 passwords for my wired Linksys routers as well as netgears. That and its 192.168.0.1 instead of 192.168.1.1. If you are trying to connect to X.X.1.1 it might not be the router.

    Try no password, but I think that admin is the password all lowercase.
    If that doesn't work try a hard reset and then try the admin in lowercase again.
