Removed HSA but new problem occured

I just got rid of home search assisstant and shopping wizard and only the best and all the rest of that stuff, but now i cant rename any files on my computer without getting a message:

"if you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable."

"are you sure you want to change it?"


how the hell do i stop this happening?

it doesnt happen with icons or folders, just image files and text files.
