Virus scanner?

Hi, I just have a quick question, Is there any free downloadable virus scanner that you recomend? My friend might have a possible virus so i need to download a scanner to take over to his house, any recomendations? i checked your downloads page but didnt see a virus scanner, also it has to be a program (not a internet scanner) because his internets not working atm, Thanks

    A good free one is AVG 7.0 trial (30 day trial) which will work great for a one-time removal. They also offer a fullly free version (version 6) which works well, but if this is for one-time scan, you may as well get the latest and greatest.
