mmview_101.dll

mmview_101.dll can some one tell my what this dll is for :scratch: ? For some reason none of the virus scans say that its infected with a trojon. but when my friend scans with a program called stop sign it says that its infected. Stop Sign is a program that scans for free but then charges to remove things so i am wonder if this is just something to get her money or could this file be truly infected. And if we know what its for maybe it my just be safe to delete it.

    Hi Cyberrat. I think mmview_101.dll is some sort of spyware according to this website http://www.spywaredata.com/spyware/bho.php?current_page=11050. If you click the link, under 'STATUS' the 5th 'PENDING' (in purple) is what you have.

    I'm not sure what you should do with it but have you used Ad-Aware SE and SpyBot? If not then download them both from the Security section in Downloads and also download HiJackThis and post the log of HiJackThis. :)
