Only the Best Pop-ups - I want it gone!

Please help! I have gotten the stupid Home Search Assistant and all its friends on my computer. When I go to "uninstall" them, it goes away for awhile. My original homepage comes back and all seems well. I still have random words (i.e computer, travel, Hawaii, etc.) hyperlinked to - goto:travel on random websites. That really doesn't bother me. What bothers me are these STUPID "ONLY THE BEST" pop ups I get!! I hate them!! ALSO - when I run my Ad-Aware and delete all my mess - my homepage is gone and the Home Search Assistant has returned with all its friends.

PLEASE, PLEASE, HELP!!! I want my computer back to it's orignal state - new, fresh, naive of pop-ups and spyware. Please help . . . for my computer's sake.

    Yes I've tried the HS Removal. It wasn't successful. When I ran Ad-Aware a few days after the "removal" of HS, everything went back to what it was. I apparently deleted something in my Ad-Aware search that I shouldn't have.

    HI, Leighanns download HiJackThis v1.98.2 from the Security Section in Downloads and Post the log and also Download SpyBot S&D 1.3 while you're there and scan your PC with that before using HiJackThis.
