WinXp Problem at command prompt Resolved!
Thought I would post this, maybe someone else can use the solution.
A while back I had some problems with router installaton and couldn't PING or IPCONFIG/ALL or quite a few other commands from the command prompt in WinXp Home. Got an error "xxxx is not recognized as an internal or external command...."
Finally found the solution:
Type PATH at the command prompt. If C:\windows\system32 does not exist, add it by typing Path=c:\windows\system32. Then right-click on My Computer, go to Properties>Environment Variables. Under System variables section, click to select ComSpec variable-Value C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe, and click the Edit button, then Ok on the dialog that opens.
That's it!
