ram help?

I bought a stick of used ram kingston 512mb pc2100, when i boot the computer just gives a constant beeping not even posting. When i take it hot it pretty warm too. I tried it in different motherboards and no luck any ideas what it could be?

    I'd say you got taken, sounds like dead ram to me man. :zombie:

    Send the ram back to kingston. They have very nice RMA people shouldnt be a problem to deal with them.

    kingston is lifetime like most brands

    if you coax them into it they will often take it back without any reciept, atleast they have for me. worth a shot :) GL
