Audio input not working
Either it's not working, or I'm too dumb to know how to work it (or an intricate combination of both... ). I want my TV's headphone jack to run into my Audio In jack on my computer (I have a cable that can do this already), and then back out of my computer to my stereos. But if I hook up the cable, I can't get anything. Not even in the Sound Recorder. There's just static. So I think I'm doing something wrong, but where?

First, look for a line output from your TV. Is it stereo or is it two outputs (L & R)? You'll need either a stereo line signal cable or a Y cable that combines the L & R line outputs from your TV to the stereo 1/8" mini jack for your sound card.
First monitor that signal. If you are not getting enough volume then you may need a preamp after the TV and before the computer.
Perhaps a better workaround is to go from your TV to your Stereo from which you will find a better line signal which to route back to your sound card an probably not need an additional preamp.
Edit:
Did I mention how much my Photoshop skills kick ass?
