How do I get that Nvidia quick lcon from starting up when windows is launched?

    Get hijack this from our security downloads page. Run it, and check to "fix" the entry that loads the NV control panel.

    Or you can just run MSConfig and disable that entry.

    ...or turn it off in the nVidia control panel. :)

    looked fot it but that choice wasn't there, I did get rid if it via hijack this, all is fine now.

    I think what happened was some how two different versions of the nvidia drivers got installed. But I got it all worked out now.

    Yeah, that's my weapon of choice for that particular little annoyance aswell.;)
