Activision, Inc. announced today that Resurrection of Evil, an expansion pack for DOOM 3, is under development. DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil will feature new locations, characters and weapons (including, oh, the double-barreled shotgun), multiplayer support for up to eight players and new maps. Co-developed by Nerve Software and id Software, the expansion pack will require the full retail version of DOOM 3 - the release date is not mentioned.

How about support for a multiplayer experience that supports an amount of players beyond ancient serial or IPX excitement?

    ;D That'd be great!

I probably won't be buying this one... I never found the original D3 intresting enough to finish, or maybe it just scared me too much!

I played it and finished it but the multiplayer reeks ...I tried to like it I really did.
I'll give the expansion pack but I think it should be free.
