Two items of interest (well, I hope they are interesting ).
1) I try my best to spread the milestones out enough so everyone gets their moment in the sun on the main front page of the forums. Since there is only room for five milestones at a time this is not always possible. I post them in the order that the notification from Stanford reaches me, so I am trying my best to be fair. You folks are just too good at Folding to keep up with.
I would encourage all of you to visit the Milestone Forum and check out how your teammates are doing. I can tell you that your fellow Team 93 members truly appreciate it.
2) Every once in a while Stanford has an email hiccup and sends me a weird posting of the latest milestones. I got one late last night informing me that we had 469 members hitting a significant milestone. I scanned the list as best I could, if I missed somebody I'm sorry. Let me know and I'll fix it. Of course, anyone is welcome to post their own at any time.
Thanks for being such a great team!

I know Sally and I appreciate the time you put in.

When I started folding I could not wait wait to see the great Prof pat on the back for the first few milestones. Gave me great encouragement. Thanks Prof!
I echo this sentiment too - I always looked forward to a piece of artwork or other humour specifically made for me that gave me heaps of encouragement - Thanks Prof, It made me drive my folding even harder - oh and sorry for the 1st few weeks there where you had to type my name so many times - cheers and thanks
You're doing an awesome job posting the milestones. We do appreciate the hard work.
Great job, prof! Can we post for friends too?
If you want to acknowledge a teammate go right ahead and post it. The more the merrier. Sometimes someone will post a mention of a personal milestone which is not necessarily one of the "Official" ones. For instance, if you finish your 100th (or whatever) WU. Or, maybe you set a personal goal of beating your top monthly score - by all means let the team know you made it. Basically anything a member is proud of is fair game.
When Short-Media was just getting started nearly a year and a half ago I would periodically put up a thread to encourage people to join in the fun. I wondered how folks would feel if their milestone had only two posts in it; mine saying "good job" and theirs saying "thanks". I haven't had to do that in a long time thanks to a number of people who regularly jump in to cheer their teammates on. Thank you very much to all of you who regularly post in the milestone forum.
As far as the cutesy pictures, I sometimes wonder if people are laughing with me or at me, but it really doesn't matter. At least they're laughing. The world could use a little more of that, I think.
BTW: Thanks for all the kind words - you guys are making me blush. I don't have any real problem keeping up with the milestones and I truly enjoy doing them. My only regret is when we have a day where eight or nine of them roll in at once. Only the last five stay on the front page for any length of time. In a perfect world every milestone would have 24 hours in the limelight so anyone checking in on a daily basis would have more of a chance to notice them. Overall, I'm a lot happier to be part of a dynamic team which really cranks out the points than I would be on a team that only had a couple milestones a week.
