HT seems to reduce temps on P4 2.4C

I just noticed something I'd classify as sort of odd, I had disabled HT on my 2.4C to see the overall effects in a couple of benches and while the load temps were pretty close to the same I've noticed that the idle temps on the CPU with HT disabled were about 9 degrees F. higher than they are with HT enabled.
Right now I'm idling at 91 degrees F. and the case temp and ambient temps are the same as with HT disabled but it was idling right at 100 degrees F. :wtf:
I just wondered if anyone else has noticed this or not.

    Sure it isn't just a fluke? Redo it a couple of times and see what happens. Doesn't make sense, really.

    I double checked that there was no load in both situations, it makes no sense to me either.
