Wireless woes...

Ok here we go. A few days ago, next door nieghbor gets a wireless home network all set up and working. It's cool for me cause at my house not far away, I can connect! Well, with that comes a problem. He's wide open for any wanted/unwated visitors on his network, so me and a friend went there that night. We set MAC address filtering for security.

Five computers in all were connected WHEN WE LEFT! One computer wired (Windows XP Pro), one wireless computer (XP Home), a laptop (XP Home), a PDA (Windows something), and MY mac laptop (Mac OSX) were all connected and working great. Well, an hour later we get a knock at the door. Now, I don't know why, but he says he unplugged and then plugged back in the power. Network's down, and he thinks it's my friend's fault. As I said before, it was working great when we left. We've tried resetting the base station a few times. When we set it for wireless activity, the bar gets stuck just about halfway. No worky=BAD.

The base station is a Microsoft MN-500. :shakehead Hey, he bought it, not me. I'd just like this problem to be fixed before he goes and spends an uneccesary 50 bucks on a new one.

Any suggestions on this? Only the wired nodes work, the XP Pro machine and a DSL modem.

Sorry for the long post...
