What registry cleaning software do you use?

Every now and then I'll go and run a registry cleaner to get some crap out of there. So far, I've been using RegSupreme 1.0, and it's worked great. However, I think it's kinda of outdated/not developed anymore. So, what program is the best to do this effectively, and not screw anything up? :)

RegCleaner. Truly an amazing program... using it for a while now w/o any problems.

Regseeker (requires digging through the results,) or Tuneup Utilities if you can afford it. Both are great.

RegCleaner is pretty much the same thing, and in fact is, RegSupreme. Just a newer version I guess. I had EasyCleaner awhile back ... just didn't like it a whole lot. RegCleaner/Supreme it is then

    A_D: I'm still deciding which I like better :p

I've been using jv16 powertools for some months and I like a lot its automatic cleaning.

    Check http://www.jv16.org
Macecraft Software is the developer of many award winning maintenance tools, such as the comprehensive jv16 PowerTools utility package, the lightning-fast standalone registry cleaner RegSupreme and RegSupreme Pro.

powertools is the same as regsupreme with more features applying not only to the register but files and so on. I must confess I only use the registry cleaner lately, and just tested the other features.

I use Microsoft RegClean 4.1a in conjunction with RegShot v1.7 Is RegClean still used by anyone? (I'm on all 9x machines though). I used to use easycleaner v1.7 but then the programmer said he was taking time off and I forgot about it; I just checked out the link and I think I'll try it again. I really liked the JV tools and the reg cleaner was the best but it went commercial and I personally (ranting) don't like when a freeware goes commercial. If you're such a qualified programmer then come up with something new. Any good net bizman knows that it's the free stuff that gets 'em in the door. My future website has 95% free stuff with 5% stuff for sale and no matter what happens, I'd never put a price on what I give for free. Think I'll try Regsupreme.

First let me say that Garabed, the following rant is not directed at you.

    Okay, next,

Everything about that web page is "sketchy". First there is confusion between two differently named products Regcleaner and Regsupreme. Both links download Regsupreme and doing an onsite search reveals no Regcleaner. Everything about the page says FREE but after installing it it seems that it is only a 30 trial.

Going to the in site directory link for reg tools:
    http://www.webmasterfree.com/software/SystemUtilities/RegistryTools/
there is no reference to either of these products.

So what's up? Is this a free program? Was it once a free program?

And as a sidenote I think the name webmasterfree.com and their presentation is downright bait and switch dishonest oh er I forgot, there is a grey area when it comes to advertising in the U.S.A. Where is Harry Truman when you need him?
