edited May 2005 in Science & Tech
Hey. Thanks for taking the time to come to read this...here is my concern:
I've had msn messenger for a while, but i recently switched net browsers...i've switched from internet explorer to Firefox (GREAT recommendation from Kwitko). firefox has been running great but i was wondering how i can change the options for msn messenger to open its windows with Firefox as oppose to internet explorer...if thats possible. any help would be much appreciated. THANKS :D

If you have FireFox set as the default browser then any links you have in MSN 6.2 should open in it although hotmail will still open in I.E. but that can be avoided by having a bookmark for MSN.com in FireFox and signing into MSN and staying signed in, MSN.com has a link for hotmail on the page.

Yeah, as long as it's set as your default browser, you should be fine.

Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Set Program Access and Default -> Custom.

Make sure you have the bubble with Firefox selected, and it should work. :)

    EDIT:
Unfortunately, MSN refuses to recognize Maxthon as a 'browser', since it uses the IE kernel and such. Too bad, too, because Maxthon is what I mainly use... :( Any other browser, though, it oughta recognize.
