Can't make CPU usage under 100%.

I run Win XP Pro
2.4 P4, 1G of RAM

I noticed EVERYTHING being sluggish, a quick Ctrl Alt Del found CPU usage at 100%, there isn't anything showing at like 90% or anything, I thought there would be. I'm stumped. I'm worried about this problem cooking my CPU. I'm not sure how to check the temp, so I can't confirm a problem there. I've ran my Virus checker, went to Trend's site and had them run theirs, I ran Spybot, Spy Hunter, AdAware, and can't find anything that is causing this. Please advise before my CPU turns molten. I'm not, although I was thinking about it until I realized my CPU wouldn't currently support it being pegged at 100%.
I'm stumped.

Wellllll, I did some more snooping around on the net and found a solution...a program called iosdt.exe was running and it was the cause of my problems, I went to Control Panel\ Folder Options, clicked View, Under hidden files & Folders, clicked "Show Hidden Files and Folders", and unchecked "Hide Protected operating system files", then I re-booted into safe mode, open c:WINDOWS\system32, found the file folder named iosdt, and deleted it and all it's slimy contents. then emptied the trash, and rebooted into normal mode.

Now CPU usage is at 2-3% just like old times

That was a trojan called Doomjuice. Good thing you killed it, although it is NOT a majorly destructive thing like Blaster.
