Articles detailing how to find, analyse and remove spyware?!... From the kings of the vulnerable web brower themselves.. (irony)
What you can do about spyware and other unwanted software?

< snip >

Many kinds of unwanted software, including spyware, are designed to be difficult to remove. If you try to uninstall this software like any other program, you might find that the program reappears as soon as you restart your computer. If you're having trouble uninstalling unwanted software, you may need to download a tool to do the job for you. Several companies offer free and low-cost software that will check your computer for spyware and other unwanted software and help you remove it...

Lots of others things OTHER sites (including) Short-Media have been advising for over a year...

Too little, too late. Tackle the weakness (the browser) first please kthx.

    Biased?

Potentially it is biased because the newsposter feels that it is too little, too late.

Welcome to the world of newsposting. it is always biased towards one side or the other ;)

Worst thing is that some of those spyware holes cannot be fixed as every time you reboot M$ puts it back in again. Yeah that's with SP2 installed ;)

On top of that put the lack of willing to fix anything pre-XP-pre-SP2 and you've got yourself the bugridden W2K laptop I've got to use for my job.

Biased or not - it sux :D
