many problems with XP, help.

ok ive been having a couple problems and i cant figure out how to fix them. if you can help any of them let me know.

problem #1- when i press ctrl alt del, the task manager pops up then disappears.

problem #2- when i try to go to "run", it does the same thing as above. it pops up,then disappears.

problem #3- when i save animated pictures on my desktop they dont stay animated. they just freeze in the first frame.

    I would recommend, first, runnning Windows Update and fully updateing XP, then running virus and spyware checkers on your system. There is information throughout this forum as to which are the best, but I personally recommend Norton for Virus, and Adaware for Spyware.

    If running these cleaners doesn't do the trick, then get back to us with more details about your system. As much as you can. Especially:

    What hardware makes up your system?
    What other programs are running in the background?
