Alrighty, New HJT Log

Hello-

I booted into Safe mode, ran HJT, found and fixed..
04 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows AdControl] C:\ProgramFiles\Windows AdControl\WinAdCt.exe
04 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinMX Music App] WINMX.EXE

but could not find on the HJT log:
04 - HKLM\..\Run:[WebRebates0]"C:\ProgramFiles\Web_Rebates\WebRebates0.exe"

In safeMode, I then, I deleted the AdControl folder, however there was no WINMX.EXE in it. I had previously found the generic WINMX.exe file and deleted it before. I could not find or locate C:\ProgramFiles\Web_Rebates

I do currently run a program called WinMX, it is a music player. Should I uninstall this program? Is it causing me problems or is a .exe with a similar name causing problems?

Thanks for you help!

Your log looks okay now. Are you still having any problems?

I believe that that WINMX.EXE was related to the bestfriends.scr virus. Do you have AIM? If you do, had you noticed changes in your Away message, or AIM randomly signing in?
