DVD / video problem

I loveto watch dvds on my machine with the lcd but tonight i put in The Day After Tomorrow and its all pixelated and crap. So i put in Star WArs return of the jedi. SAme problem. hmmm SO i set my vid card back to normal same problem. Pop in farcray NO problem there. Could it be software? i tried NVDVD and WMP and Hotllama ( dont ask it came with a dvd ) and they all do the same thing. With all the problems i am having with Xp i am about to dump it and go back to 2k but i dont wanna! lol Wahts ur guys thoughts on whats causeing this?

    Try a real DVD program like PowerDVD or WinDVD.

    If you're using XP with SP2 and you've applied all the latest critical updates and you're using Win MP9 to view, that's probably the problem. I noticed the same thing. Changing to Win MP10 solved the problem.

    Other than that, as Thrax said.

    i am using WMP 10 with service pack 1 service pack 2 witha A64 cpu from what i heard is a nono
